You think it's more cost effective to just buy a mustang and build it up to this level? Or, just buy something like this?

You are asking the wrong guy that question. If I had anything like that kind of money I'd be buying a new stinger base model or a used Cadillac CTS-V.

Those tires aren’t as worn as you think. They’re a 180TW very high performance street tire. They’d also stand up to some mild track/lapping work if you weren’t interested in laptime.

These are molded at 7/32nd’s (you have to shave them to 4/32 for any real extended trackwork at 10/10ths), and that dude still has a couple of 32nd’s from the wearbars. He’s probably around 4/32nd’s, for around 50%.

How much do they cost? I heard hi drive away. He'd had one of those incredibly noisy exhausts installed.

All the money. It looks like they run about $300-$500/tire, depending on size .  That said, these are basically about the pinnacle of performance tires that you can actually drive on the street.

I bet they're soft and they wear out quickly. All of which is fine, but spendy and for appearances, I should think, as much as anything.

Or for going fast around corners. In pure street driving, I’d guess between 10-15 K of life.

For the Shelby? probably not IMO. The Voodoo flat plane crank alone is worth buying. Now, take a Scat Pack and put your own blower and goodies on it, you have your own hellcat for less.
